Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge finished 10th in the 2014 NBA MVP voting.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant won the award for the first time in his career.

Aldridge received two third-place votes, two fourth-place votes and 10 fifth place votes. He finished behind, in order: Durant, Heat forward LeBron James, Clippers forward Blake Griffin, Bulls center Joakim Noah, Rockets guard James Harden, Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Clippers guard Chris Paul, Bobcats center Al Jefferson and Pacers forward Paul George.
