Early Friday, the Marion County Sheriff's Department got a tip about a party being planned for Friday night.  It was being coordinated on Twitter using #ProjectNat.

Deputies posted warnings to the Twitter feed and tried to contact the organizer to warn about the potential problems.

At 9:30 p.m. deputies went to Packsaddle Park in rural Marion County and found the party.  There was a large bon fire, alcoholic drinks and a large group of people.

The organizer was 19-year-old Nathaniel Gray, of Salem.  He wouldn't cooperate with deputies and was arrested.  Gray was charged with disorderly conduct, furnishing alcohol to a minor offensive littering and providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

In addition to his criminal charges, the Gates Fire Department may seek penalties for its reimbursement from Gray for its response to extinguish the bonfire.
