A resident in Northeast Portland called 911 around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, because the house at 14932 NE Graham St. was fully involved with fire.  The windows in the caller's home were breaking, because of the heat of the fire.

Portland Fire crews arrived and found heavy fire and smoke from a residence extending to two surrounding homes. The incident commander at the time upgraded the fire response to a second alarm, adding an almost duplicate number of fire engines and ladder trucks to deal with the possible three house fires. Both homes that the vacant house fire extended to were occupied but residents were able evacuate safely. A fire investigator is on scene to determine cause and damage assessment. All fires are out, at least two homes suffered significant damage. No injuries to firefighters, residents or pets were reported. Updates and pictures will be provided when available.
