A log truck caused a chain reaction crash Tuesday afternoon on the McCullough Bridge in North Bend.
Two vehicles were stopped for a traffic light, but the driver of the log truck didn't stop in time. The load of logs broke free and crushed the cab. The driver, Richard Wilson, from Bandon, had to be extricated from the cab.
McCullough is hospitalized and is expected to recover.
The driver of the first vehicle that was hit was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the third vehicle refused medical treatment.
The logs were transferred to another log truck before both commercial trucks and trailers were towed from the scene.
OSP troopers from the Coos Bay Area Command office are continuing the investigation.
