It started around 10 p.m. Thursday when a Cedar Hills resident on S.W. Timberline Drive called 9-1-1 to complain Dahl, 50, her friend, was acting erratically and needed help. When police arrived, a black Cadillac Escalade was leaving. Dahl was inside. Before patrol car lights were activated, Dahl allegedly rammed his car into a patrol car. He backed up and started to drive away. Another patrol car followed.

Police say Dahl refused to stop and repeatedly slammed on his brakes, trying to get deputies to hit the back of his Escalade. Near, S.W. Scenic Drive and Scenic Drive Court, Dahl hit another patrol car head-on. He backed up again, but another deputy rammed his car from behind, pinning the Escalade between the two patrol cars.

Dahl refused to get out of his car to face deputies. He engaged in a struggle with them. An officer used a Taser to subdue him. He was treated by doctors before being booked into Washington County Jail.

He faces a long list of charges: Assault in the Second Degree, Assaulting a Peace Officer, Attempt to Elude a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief and Reckless Driving.
