Portland Police Bureau Burglary detectives, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, are asking for the public's help in identifying a residential attempted burglary suspect.
On December 3, 2013, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a residence in the area of Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard and Lobelia Street on the report of an attempted burglary in progress.
Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim who told police that the suspect did not make entry into the home and ran away before police arrived. The victim thought the suspect may have left the area in a vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, 5'7" tall, thin build, red hair in a crew cut, and a red mustache.
The vehicle is described as a silver Honda Accord two-door.
A forensic sketch of the suspect is being released to the public to assist with identification.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
