If you are watching a mystery movie, and cannot tell the good guys from the bad… the director of Knives Out, Rian Johnson, has a trick to find out!
He revealed the long rumored idea to Vanity Fair:
That’s right… Apple will not allow their iPhones to be used by the villain in a movie or television show! Wired first theorized about the product placement policy after noting that the "bad guys" used PCs on the TV show 24, while the good guys generally worked on Macs.
Obviously this trick will not work for a show like Game of Thrones… but be on the lookout for who is (or isn't) holding an iPhone!
