We find the premiere of “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” on the CBS network. CBS aired the special annually through the year 2000, with ABC from 2001-19, and this year it’s only available on Apple TV+.
We find the introduction of the Toyota Corolla. In only 8 years it becomes one of the best-selling cars in the world, where it has remained to this day.
And we find a song on the radio by Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. “Devil With A Blue Dress” was recorded to sound live, and the "Fe Fi Fo Fum" refrain was based on the “Jack and the Beanstalk” fairy tale.
