In the capsule today…
We find the Chrysler Corporation introducing the first vehicles to be officially labeled as "minivans". They are the Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, and Plymouth Voyager.
We find a science fiction film directed by James Cameron in theaters. Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as "The Terminator," a cyborg assassin sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor.
And we find a song on the radio by Bryan Adams. Bryan wrote the song for Blue Oyster Cult, who turned it down. The song was then offered to .38 Special, who also said no. So he decided to sing "Run To You" himself, and it became a major hit.
