We find a new deodorant being marketed to teens by Mennen. And the name was soon adopted by Kurt Cobain for the title track on Nirvana’s second album.
We find Steve Martin struggling with his daughter’s engagement in a remake of a 1950 film…. “Father of the Bride.”
And we find a song on the radio by Tom Petty. Tom wrote “Learning To Fly” after watching a pilot being interviewed on TV. The pilot said that learning how to fly wasn’t difficult... the hardest part was coming down.
