In the time capsule today…
We find Bob Marley shot in an assassination attempt in Kingston, Jamaica. Two days later he performed at a live show. When asked why so soon, Marley replied, "The people making the world worse aren’t taking a day off. How can I?"
We find two brand new NFL teams playing each other for the first time, in a game that was nicknamed the “Expansion Bowl.” The Seattle Seahawks beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13-10.
And on the radio we find a song by Peter Frampton. Peter acknowledges that “Show Me The Way” is about someone specific, but has not offered a name. He said, "I met somebody that gave me such confidence. My life is completely changed. All the lyrics in that song are about me and her."
