A back up of about 350 cargo ships loaded with everything from toilet paper to auto parts had no where to go but wait. The Ever Given cargo ship had been wedged bow to starboard in the Suez Canal. Costing shippers billions of dollars per day. No doubt those losses will be passed along to the consumer. It was announced today that the wedged cargo ship has now been freed and is floating again.
