We find the nation shocked to hear of Elvis Presley’s sudden passing at his home in Graceland.
We find a space film in theaters, written and directed by George Lucas. Fearing that the film would fail, Lucas made plans to hide out in Hawaii on the day of its release. "Star Wars" is currently the third highest grossing movie of all time.
And we find a song on the radio by The Steve Miller Band. “Jet Airliner” was written by Paul Pena, a blind folk singer from Cape Cod. For much of his life, Pena's royalties from writing this were his only income.
