We find Cher agreeing to appear on David Letterman only after the show agreed to pay her outstanding $28,000 New York City hotel bill. She was not a fan of David, and let him know on the show.
We find a series of bizarre new McDonald's TV commercials featuring a crescent moon headed piano-player named Mac Tonight. The ad campaign worked, and boosted dinnertime sales by 10%.
And we find a song on the radio by Robert Palmer. The song was originally recorded as a duet with Chaka Khan. However, her record label would not allow it to be released, so Robert had to erase her part, and record over her vocal parts.
