We find a top secret stealth fighter jet making its maiden flight. The existence of the F-117 Nighthawk was long rumored, and only publicly acknowledged seven years later.
We find the launch of the first 24-hour video music channel, MTV. The first video was “Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles. The channel was initially available only to homes in New Jersey... and soon became a cultural phenomenon.
And we find a song on the radio by Hall & Oates. Daryl Hall was initially concerned that the song was too simple and too happy. After some rewrite attempts he said, “It is what it is"
