Juicero is a well-funded Silicon Valley company that manufactures bags of extremely healthy juice. In order to purchase this juice, however, you must first buy a $400, internet connected juicing machine--dubbed "Keurig for juice"--which presses the juice into a glass.
But, as Bloomberg writes, “After the product hit the market, some investors were surprised to discover a much cheaper alternative: You can squeeze the Juicero bags with your bare hands.” Indeed, in an a slyly hilarious video comparing the pricey machine to a pair of fleshy mitts, Bloomberg proves that the former is no more efficient than the latter.
