People really love bacon – and for proof, consider that Americans eat almost 18 pounds of it a year. It’s a breakfast staple and added into all kinds of foods, even desserts like s'mores and cannoli. But now there’s a new way to enjoy those fatty strips of pork - in a lollipop!
At Roni-Sue's Chocolates, a candy shop in New York City, they make “bacon candy” and if you like candied bacon, you’ll fall in love with these suckers. They cook up crispy bacon and lose the super-fatty parts, then sprinkle the bacon bits into lollipop molds. Then they add a mixture of smoked tea, maple syrup, agave syrup, glucose syrup, and sugar and the Maple Bacon Lollipop is born.
You can buy them online for $7 for a pack of four. And with the holidays right around the corner, these would make the perfect stocking stuffer for the bacon-lovers in your life.
