Chocolate lovers, rejoice! We have even more reasons to indulge and science says it’s cool.
According to two new studies, eating dark chocolate can lower your stress level and make you smarter and healthier. Researchers at Southern California's Loma Linda University say the studies suggest eating certain types of dark chocolate have a positive effect on memory, mood, and immunity while also lowering stress.
The lead researcher says the health benefits come from the high concentration of cacao [[ kuh-KOW ]] in dark chocolate. The findings were presented at the Experimental Biology 2018 meeting in San Diego this week.
