If you’re a fan of ground beef, check your freezer.
The Department of Agriculture is recalling more than 130-thousand pounds of ground beef products for possible E. coli contamination. At least twelve beef products from the Colorado-based company Cargill Meat Solutions were potentially affected.
The CDC is investigating whether 17 cases of illness and one death were caused by raw ground beef packaged on June twenty-first of this year. This is the second consecutive month that the Agriculture Department has recalled products from Cargill, a meat producer that ships nationwide.
The list of products is here.
If you find some in your freezer, throw it out or take it back to where you bought it.
