Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow Releases New Song "The Storm"

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow has released its second new song in as many years: "The Storm."

The track follows the 2018 single, "Waiting For A Sign," as Blackmore continues to carve out time to "blast out on the Stratocaster," as he says, for old times sake.

"It's good fun," Blackmore said last year of resurrecting the beloved band.

Most of Blackmore's musical output over the past two decades has been reserved for his Renaissance music-inspired Blackmore's Night project with his wife, singer Candice Night.

The legendary guitarist describes "The Storm" as a "rocked-up remake" of the Blackmore's Night song "Fires at Midnight" from 2001.

You can listen to the new tune above.

Blackmore's revamped version of Rainbow features Lords of Black front man Ronnie Romero, in the spot formerly occupied by Ronnie James Dio and Joe Lynn Turner.

The band has four European shows on its schedule this year. See the tour dates here.
