Just before 5:00 PM Tuesday afternoon, Keizer police rushed to River Road and Sam Orcutt Way after a Chevrolet Tahoe slammed into a 7-year-old boy crossing the street with his bike.
The boy's head was severely injured, and he was rushed to Salem Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, the young boy was then immediately flown by Life Flight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland for further treatment.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to contact Keizer Police.
