"Saved By The Bell" Reboot to Air on NBC's Peacock Streaming Service

Mark-Paul Gosselaar will join the cast of the Saved by the Bell reboot. Gosselaar, who was initially unaware of the reboot, will star alongside original cast members, Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano).

The plot for the reboot has been revealed: “When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over-privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.”

Josie Totah, a transgender actress, will join the cast as the sharp-tongued cheerleader who is the most popular and feared girl at Bayside High.

Also expected to join the cast is Tiffani Amber-Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Saved by the Bell will stream on NBC’s Peacock streaming service. More details are to come during NBCUniversal’s January 16th investors presentation.

Do you think Dustin Diamond (Screech) should be involved in the reboot? Absolutely!
