The actor first told the public he and Wilsontested positive for coronaviruson March 11, while they were in Australia during pre-production on Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley film. Hanks is playing Presley's longtime manager Colonel Tom Parker in the biopic, which has now been halted following his diagnosis.
Luckily, the beloved actor has beenproviding health updateson social media. Five days after their diagnosis, he and Wilson were allowed to leave the hospital. And the next day, on March 17, Hanks kept things light as he shared with his followers that he was feeling "the same" as before.
"Good News: One week after testing Positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same," he wrote in his post. "No fever but the blahs. Folding the laundry and doing the dishes leads to a nap on the couch."
