April 3rd is World Party Day! There’s a lot of ugly in the world today – so what better time to raise our spirits…with a party!
World Party Day (or P-Day) is a “synchronized global celebration” that celebrants hope will make the world a better place - the motto? “Party is the opposite of war.” Inspired by the novel, “Flight,” by Vanna Bonta – the first World Party Day (known as World Party I) took place on April 3, 1996.
The idea is that we can literally make the world better simply by taking positive action and celebrating life. In “Flight,” the story ends with a countdown to a mass celebration where all of humanity is united.
