Carson Time Capsule... Monday, June 29

In the capsule today…

We find “Turner and Hooch” in theaters. The movie was originally directed by Henry Winkler… but The Fonz was fired thirteen days into production. He later said of the dismissal, "Let's just say that I got along better with Hooch, than I did with Turner."

We find a new show on NBC, with a cast that includes Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond, and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. “Saved by the Bell” had a four year run, and produced multiple spin-offs.

And we find a song by Bon Jovi hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Many think the verses have an uncredited similarity to John Lennon's Beatles' track "Don't Let Me Down."

What is the year? (answer below).
