We find the infamous ABC sketch comedy show “Turn-On.” Only one episode was ever broadcast, before being immediately cancelled. A few West Coast TV stations, including KATU, decided not to air the show at all. Host Tim Conway explains in the video below.
We find Ohio’s Cuyahoga River catching fire. The river fire helped spawn the Clean Water Act, and the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency. Cleveland resident Tim Donovan remembers in the video below.
And we find a song on the radio by the Beatles. George Harrison wrote "Here Comes the Sun" in Eric Clapton's garden using one of Clapton's acoustic guitars. The song was inspired by the lengthy English winters which George thought were too long.
