Carson Time Capsule... Tuesday, December 8th.

In the capsule today…

We find “The Thomas Crown Affair” in theaters, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Sean Connery was the original choice for the title role, but he turned it down, a decision he later regretted.

We find a new comedy show on NBC. “Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In” launched the career of Goldie Hawn, who became an instant international sensation.

And we find a song on the radio by The Supremes. A follow-up song to the track was released a year later titled, "I'm Livin' In Shame," which told the story of the woman in “Love Child” hiding her problematic background.
