In the capsule today…

We find Walter Cronkite signing off CBS Evening News after a 19 year run.

We find the highest-rated hour in daytime television history. Luke and Laura get married on “General Hospital”.

And we find a song on the radio by .38 Special. “Caught Up In You” was written by Jim Peterik, founder and lead-singer of the Survivor. The rest of Survivor was not happy with Jim writing songs for another band. As a result the track was written in the basement of Jim’s mother’s house, so the band would not catch him in the act.
