Carson Time Capsule... Wednesday, February 24th.

In the time capsule today…

We find the film “Turner and Hooch” in theaters. The movie was originally directed by Henry Winkler, but he was fired thirteen days into production. Later Henry said of his time on set, "Let's just say that I got along better with Hooch, than I did with Turner."

We find a new live action Saturday morning TV show on NBC, a time slot normally reserved for cartoons. And with a cast including Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond, and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, “Saved by the Bell” launches a four year run, and produces multiple spin-offs.

And we find a song on the radio by Tom Petty. Before he wrote the song, an arsonist burned down Tom Petty's house while he was in it with his family. No one was hurt, but Tom was badly shaken... and wrote “I Won't Back Down” as a way of reclaiming his life and getting past the torment.

What is the year? (answer below).
