Carson Time Capsule... Thursday, February 25th.

In the time capsule today…

We find a 15-year-old Brooke Shields in a controversial TV ad for Calvin Klein Jeans. Photographer Richard Avedon said of his subject, “[Brooke] focuses the rage people feel about the decline in contemporary morality and destruction of innocence in the world."

We find the sequel to Star Wars in theaters. “The Empire Strikes Back” was initially met with mixed reviews, but it is now considered to be one of the greatest films ever made. And the film features one of the most misquoted movie lines of all time.

And we find “I'm Alright” on the radio by Kenny Loggins. While recording the single, Eddie Money was using a nearby studio, and Kenny convinced him to sing the "You make me feel good" line in the song. Eddie was unhappy that he never got credit for his contribution, and later said, "I'm not a fan of Kenny Loggins to tell you the truth."

What is the year? (answer below).
