In the time capsule today…

We find a psychological horror movie in theaters starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. “Silence of the Lambs” is actually the second film to feature the character Hannibal Lecter; the first movie was “Manhunter.”

We find Bill Clinton on the campaign trail. Notable moments include playing saxophone on The Arsenio Hall Show, the catchphrase, “I feel your pain,” and the preposterous denial about inhaling marijuana.

And we find “Friday I'm In Love” on the radio by The Cure. Singer and songwriter Robert Smith was afraid that he stole the melody from somewhere, and he called everyone he knew, asking if they had heard it before. No one had, and he finally accepted that he wrote the song on his own…
