Carson Time Capsule... Friday, March 26th.

In the time capsule today…

We find the controversial film “Carnal Knowledge” in theaters, starring Jack Nicholson and Art Garfunkel. When a theatre in Georgia showed the picture police arrested the theater manager for "distributing obscene material." And he was convicted… though this was later overturned by the Supreme Court.

We find the introduction of the Trac II, the first razor with twin-blades. Gillette discovered the "Hysteresis effect," where two blades work in tandem for a closer shave.

And we find a single on the radio by Three Dog Night… The original lyrics were "Jeremiah was a prophet" but no one liked it. The word “Prophet” was changed to “Bullfrog,” and “Joy To The World” became a huge hit!
