In the time capsule today…
We find a TV ad from the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. The American Egg Board was not happy with the commercial, as they didn't want their product associated with the unhealthiness of drug use.
We find a futuristic police movie with a superhuman cyborg law enforcer. “Robocop” was submitted to the MPAA and given an X rating 11 times, before enough violence was trimmed to give it a marketable R rating.
And we find a song on the radio by Michael Jackson. Micheal said “Bad” was influenced by a real-life story, of a young man who tried to escape poverty by attending private school, but ended up being killed when he returned home.
