Carson Time Capsule... Friday, April 2nd.

In the time capsule today…

We find the Star Wars Holiday Special airing on CBS. The special is notorious for its negative reception and has never been rebroadcast, nor officially released on home video. The special does introduce a new character.

We find the debut of the TV series "Diff'rent Strokes" on NBC starring Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges. The title for the series was inspired by a phrase popularized by Muhammad Ali, "Different strokes for different folks."

And we find “Hot Blooded” on the radio by Foreigner. The song has been used in several movies, TV shows and commercials… and is currently the theme song to the TV series Tacoma FD.
