Carson Time Capsule... Tuesday, April 13th.

In the time capsule today…

We find Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis starring in the high flying action movie “Top Gun.” Director Tony Scott was hired because producers liked a Saab commercial he had done, where a Saab 900 turbo is shown racing a fighter jet.

We find a hot new toy in stores. Lazer Tag was introduced with great fanfare and some controversy. Many labeled the infrared targeting game a “war toy.”

And we find a song on the radio by Wang Chung. The video for “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” features a jump cut for virtually every frame, and was banned by the BBC due to concerns about it triggering epileptic fits.
