Former Blazer LaMarcus Aldridge Retires From NBA At 35 Due To Heart Scare

After 15 years in the NBA LaMarcus Aldridge is putting his health first

Former Portland Trailblazer favorite LaMarcus Aldridge announced he was retiring from the NBA. He experienced an irregular heartbeat after last Saturday's against the L.A. Lakers. Aldridge said "It was the scariest thing he had ever experienced". He also said "for 15 years I've been putting basketball and the NBA first, now I've got to put my health and my family first. I thank Portland for drafting a skinny, Texas kid and giving him a chance. The city of Portland has given me some unforgettable years. They will always remain in my heart."
