Carson Time Capsule... Wednesday, April 28th.

In the time capsule today…

We find John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd starring in a movie based on an SNL sketch, “The Blues Brothers.” Belushi's drug use partying caused costly delays that, along with destructive car chases, made the film one of the most expensive comedies ever produced.

On the TV, we find the premiere of “Bosom Buddies” starring Peter Scolari and a fresh faced Tom Hanks. The show was canceled after just two seasons, but launched Tom into a successful movie career.

And we find a song on the radio by Pat Benatar. The writer of the song, Eddie Schwartz, came up with the song title after attending a "pillow punching" therapy-session in Toronto.
