We find fourteen-year-old Romanian Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci awarded a perfect ten score for her uneven bar routine… she then accumulated six more over the rest of the games.
We find TV producer Chuck Barris becoming the host of The Gong Show after the original host objected to the show’s unscripted chaos. Chuck’s approach to the show was so loose that many viewers assumed he was intoxicated.
And we find a song on the radio by Fleetwood Mac. “Rhiannon” is the name of a Welsh goddess… lording over fertility and the moon.
