Carson Time Capsule... Wednesday, August 11th.

In the time capsule today…

We find Texas Rangers outfielder Jeff Burroughs at the center of a Cleveland Indians promotion gone wrong. A violent crowd took over the field at “Ten Cent Beer Night!”

We find a comedy horror film in theaters directed by Mel Brooks. “Young Frankenstein” stars Gene Wilder as a descendant of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein. Hunchback assistant Igor's line, "Walk this way," inspired the song "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith.

And we find a cover song on the radio by Carl Carlton. The original version was released in 1967 by Robert Knight. “Everlasting Love” was also covered by Gloria Estefan in 1995, though Carl’s version remains the most successful to date.
