We find the dystopian action thriller “Mad Max” in theaters. Director George Miller considered an American actor for the lead role… but instead opted to keep the budget low with an unknown Australian actor: Mel Gibson.
And we find a song on the radio by Pat Benatar. “Heartbreaker” was written by British songwriters, and Pat had to rewrite many of the lyrics to make them understandable to an American audience. It became her breakout hit.
