*****THESE ARE TWO VERY SPECIAL DOGS WHO HAVE BEEN AT THE SHELTER A LONG TIME. PLEASE FRIENDS, SHARE THEIR STORIES AND LET'S GET THE ADOPTED! I RETURN ON AIR TUESDAY SEPT 7, I PRAY THEY HAVE HOMES UPON MY RETURN. WE CAN DO THIS! THANKS

Meet Sherbert:

My name is Sherbert. I am a 2-3year old, Female, Mixed Breed. I weigh 32 pounds. I was a stray in Texas. I am a very reserved and thoughtful girl. I will do best in a quiet home with a patient owner(s). I am neutral with the other dogs here and like my crate. I do not enjoy walking on a leash so a secure fenced yard would be ideal for me. I am a very sweet dog that is overwhelmed by all the changes in my life so make sure you are dedicated to making my next home my very last. I may take some time to befriend you but it will be SO worth it when we bond.

Meet Palm Boy:

My name is Palm. I am 1 year old Male Mixed Breed. I weigh 35 pounds. I was a stray in Mexico. Let me start out by saying, I have some baggage but I am hopeful that you will be my person. I have been failed by humans more than once and yet I am still forgiving. I was at a high kill shelter in Mexico when a nice lady alerted ODR & that is when my journey started looking up. I came to ODR & spent a few weeks in a great foster home! She says I am crate and house trained as well as very easy to have around.

Then I was adopted for a night. I got scared and jumped on a counter then my adopter scared me and I nipped at her. I didn't break skin, but I left marks on my adopter and was sent back to ODR.

I am a very sensitive dog. I need you to earn my trust and then once you do we will be the best of friends for life. I am very thoughtful and like my own space. I do not like other dogs so my new family can only consist of humans (adult ones please). If you give me a few days to decompress I will show you so much love.

I like to go for walks and I am great (and safe) in my crate.
