Boeing says "Goodbye" to an amazing icon Tuesday Jan. 31, 2023. The very last Jumbo Jet, the Boeing 747 will be delivered to Atlas Air Cargo. Since its first flight in 1969, the giant yet graceful 747 has served as a cargo plane, a commercial aircraft capable of carrying nearly 500 passengers, a transport for NASA’s space shuttles, and the Air Force One presidential aircraft. It revolutionized travel, connecting international cities that had never before had direct routes. I have always been fascinated with the Boeing 747 and always wanted to fly on one. Sadly the years passed, my destinations never called for the big beauty so I never had the chance. So today we say "Goodbye" to the Boeing 747.
