If you've ever gone whale watching, especially someplace like Hawaii, you know the power that whales can generate to not only breach, but sometimes leave the water. Often it seems like they are showing off once they realize they have an audience of other mammals watching them from a boat.
Just like anyone, sometimes whales make mistakes. And this poor whale ended up hitting the bow of a fishing boat. You can see and hear the strike in the video.
This particular encounter happened off the coast of Massachusetts. No injuries were reported. The whale seems to be okay, although I'm sure its ego is not.
The boat suffered a broken window on top of the bow.
