Caleb Backe, health and wellness expert at Maple Holistics is sharing the best and worst times to shower. He stresses that some variables come into play that do make a difference, so keep them in mind.
- Best - Morning. Though you’ll end up with pollutants on you throughout the day, you do get a fresh start after sweating all night.
- Best of all times - Night. Sorry! Though many like morning showers, the end of day regime cleans all the days dirt off and you hop into bed clean minimizing the spread of germs. Just don’t sleep with wet hair. Long showers at night are a big “no-no.”
- Worst - Midday. Most experts give this time a thumbs down. For hygiene, it’s completely useless. The only exception is after a workout.
- Worst - If you’ve already showered. Excessive showering strips the skin of moisture and good bacteria. Basically you’re leaving your guard down for enemies to attack.
