Should Halloween Be Moved to the Last Saturday in October?

A petition to move Halloween is nearing its goal of 75-thousand signatures.

As of this morning (7/26), more than 66-thousand people have now signed the change-dot-org petition to move Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday of the month. The Halloween and Costume Association, which started the petition, says with 38-hundred injuries each year, it could be safer for children to trick-or-treat on a weekend. Not to mention provide a day of rest after adults have Halloween Parties or participate in neighborhood trick or drink...that's where parents go around with their kids trick or treating with an empty cup and the cup gets filled with adult beverages by your neighbors. At least that's the way it worked in MY neighborhood!

The petition also lists safety tips for parents and partiers. If the petition does hit 75-thousand signatures, will the President take a look at changing it? Guess we’ll see.
