The family of the man married to Tiger King star Carole Baskin's has filed a lawsuit against her and is offering a reward for information.
Don Lewis' family is offering $100,000 and has hired a lawyer. Lewis disappeared a day before a planned Costa Rica trip and was officially declared dead in 2002. Lewis and Baskin started the sanctuary that would become Big Cat Rescue Corp. in Tampa, Florida.
Lewis’ youngest daughter, Gale Rathbone, thanked people for their interest in her father's case. "Our search for closure and truth has become your mission also,” she said. “We all know by now that (Lewis) was not a perfect man. But do only the perfect among us deserve justice?”
Baskin said she had no comment, but said, “I had told some news outlets that I thought the press conference on August 10 was just a publicity stunt, but at that time was not aware there would be pending litigation.” In March, authorities announced they were reopening Lewis' case.
