Free Biketown Rides For Bike Month

The Portland Bureau of Transportation and BIKETOWN are celebrating Bike Month by offering free rides for the entire month of May.

John Brady with PBOT, says all BIKETOWN rides and bike parking in the BIKETOWN service area will be free. BIKETOWN members can ride for 90 minutes per day for free.

The promotion also includes Adaptive BIKETOWN, which makes biking accessible for people with disabilities, and BIKETOWN for All, which offers discounted BIKETOWN memberships to Portland area residents living on low incomes.

Brady says to encourage even more people to ride, they're offering Waterfront Wednesdays, which are free guided bike rides on the Waterfront in the Eastbank Esplanade on Wednesdays.

To take advantage of BIKETOWN's free ride promotion, you'll need to sign up through their website at biketownpdx.com, mobile app or at a station kiosk and select the "Single Ride" plan. BIKETOWN Annual Members can log into their account, choose "Memberships" and use promo code "BIKEMONTH18".
