Two Suspects Arrested In Armed Robbery

Two suspects were arrested in an armed robbery of a Rite Aid pharmacy in Oregon City Thursday night.

Officers were called to an armed robbery at the Rite Aid inside the Oregon City Shopping Center on McLoughlin Bolevard.

A man, later identified as 21-year-old Austin Keever-Nyberg, walked to the pharmacy counter armed with a knife and jumped the counter. He ordered employee’s to the ground and then went to the back of the pharmacy where he stole medication and then fled the store. 

As Keever-Nyberg left the store, he threatened another employee with the knife. Keever-Nyberg then fled on foot toward Main Street. No employee's were injured.

A perimeter was established and a K-9 search was started. Keever-Nyberg returned to the shopping center and ran to a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. The vehicle was driven by 19-year-old Jacob Petersen. 

Petersen tried to leave the shopping center, but officers were able to use pin the vehicle. 

Both Keever-Nyberg and Petersen were taken into custody. The medication and knife were recovered. 

Keever-Nyberg was arrested for Robbery I, Coercion, Menacing, and Unlawful use of a weapon. He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on $272,500 bail. 

Petersen was arrested for Robbery I. He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on $250,000 bail.
