Former Softball Coach Arrested

A former assistant softball coach at Banks High School has been arrested for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a minor.

On Monday, detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 14300 block of NW Highway 47, just north of the city of Banks.

The search warrant was related to an investigation into an inappropriate relationship between an adult and a minor.

Detectives seized evidence from the location and arrested 22-year-old Madison D. Soper.

Soper was previously a volunteer assistant softball coach at Banks High School for the 2016-2017 school year.

Soper was been booked into the Washington County Jail on the following charges:

  • Using a Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct
  • Online Sexual Corruption of a Minor in the First Degree
  • Luring a Minor
  • Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree
  • Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree

Her bail was set at $250,000.
