GOP Walkout Stops Legislative Progress

Most Republicans have now left the Oregon legislative session. That leaves both the House and Senate without enough members for a quorum.

Republicans want the cap and trade climate change bill to be decided by voters.

Democrats say voters gave them a super majority in the legislature to pass the cap and trade bill without a public vote.

They face a deadline of March 8 when the legislative session must come to an end.
